 February 16, 2010 - February 16, 2010-Laredo, TX- The Laredo Broncos of the United League have announced two exhibitions game against the Tecolotes de Nuevo Laredo. First game is scheduled for March 12, 2010 at Veterans Field beginning at 735PM. The Broncos will then travel to Nuevo Laredo on March 13th to play the Tecolotes at La Junta Park at 8PM.
Admission for the game at Veterans Field is $7 for lower reserved and $5 for General Admission. In addition, the Laredo Broncos will donate $1 of every ticket sold to the South Texas Food Bank and Pink to Do Breast Cancer Awareness, respectively.
“This is a great opportunity for our fans to see the Tecolotes back in Laredo for one night. I am very excited to make this event into a yearly event and grow every year.” General Manager Jose Melendez explained. The Broncos played the Tecolotes last March with the Broncos winning 7-6.
The Broncos will be managed by current field manager Dan Firova and the Tecolotes are managed by Mexican League Hall of Famer Carlos Soto.
Field Manager Dan Firova ,“I am looking forward to managing this game as it will be a fun series and also give me a better look at the players we have coming in this summer. We expect to play hard and win both games.” The series is sponsored by the City of Laredo Parks and Leisure Dept and the Laredo Broncos organization.
